Hunting at Balsam Farms
Balsam Farms is the largest provider of private hunting lands in Kawartha Lakes, Ontario (WMU 75). We dedicate over 600 acres of excellently managed forests to responsible hunting in the open seasons. The ability for the forest to sustain itself ecologically and provide what our clients want and need is what defines a healthy forest. Maintaining the balance between forest sustainability and the production of goods and services is a challenge we have accepted and invested in. It is the sole responsibility of the hunter to ensure they are in compliance with all federal and provincial hunting regulations. Strict laws regulate when, where, what and how a person can hunt. In Ontario, each gun hunter must pass both the Canadian Firearms Safety Course exam and the Ontario Hunter Education Course exam. These education programs and regulations contribute to a safe recreational activity. We ensure anyone hunting on Balsam Farms is fully licensed and possesses the valid tags and seals for the hunt they seek.
